Description
National 5 Chemistry course is split into 4 sessions, each lasting 2 hours this will be an intensive revision and pupils should expect to be working hard as we will reteaching the key area from the units below over the 8-hour course.

- Chemical changes and structure
In this area, topics covered are: rates of reaction; atomic structure and bonding related to
properties of materials; formulae and reacting quantities; acids and bases. - Nature’s chemistry
- Chemical changes and structure
In this area, topics covered are: homologous series; everyday consumer products; energy
from fuels.

In this area, topics covered are: metals; plastics; fertilisers; nuclear chemistry; chemical
analysis.
